Tours 2011

Bused Walking Tour
Wednesday, October 5 from 8:30am -12noon

Come out for this mobile workshop and explore some of Toronto's most compelling landscapes and spaces that were formally brownfields. Participants will have a chance to interact with the architects, environmental engineers, landscape designers, remedial experts, and parks managers who helped shape these brownfield redevelopments. Scheduled tour stop will include the newly opened HtO Park, Sugar Beach, and Sherbourne Commons. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the design team of Corus Quay. Other scheduled stops will include Canoe Landing Park at Concord Adex and the delightful Music garden. The final stop will be the Port Lands Sport Fields which is part of the planned Lake Ontario Park system. Participants will meet at 20 Bay Street (outside Waterfront Toronto’s offices), please wear comfortable walking attire.
