1) Walking tour of the Southeast False Creek Olympic Village
Time: Approx. 1 hour
Cost: Free
Formerly the site of various key industries that have shaped Vancouver's history, the SEFC is now being developed for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Village, and will be a leading model of sustainability in North America. For more information, go to: http://vancouver.ca/olympicvillage/
2) Walking tour of Coal Harbour
Time: Approx. 1 hour
Cost: Free
Examine the terrestrial and marine habitat creation and restoration changes that have occured and the major brownfield remediation works that have been completed as EBA leads you along the Coal Harbour waterfront trail from the Westin Bayshore Hotel to the new Vancouver Convention Centre.
3) Walking tour of Pacific Place
Time: Approx. 1 hour
Cost: Free
Formerly the industrial heart of Vancouver, the site is now being redeveloped by the province into parkland, residential housing, and centres for commerce and/or public gatherings. Hear about the history, approach to redevelopment, and other interesting elements of the property, which lies along the north shore of False Creek. 4) Dockside Green in Victoria
Time: Approx. 4 hours round-trip, travel will be by floatplane.
Cost: Will be dependent on the final number of participants.
